The "Ozonide" oil - problems of obtaining and practical using

High velocity of the ozone reactions in liquid phase leads to short times of its existence in biologic systems. Under normal conditions ozone disappears less than 0,1-0,2 sec. after mixing with blood. Ozone reactions with blood components accompany by formation of not only ozonides (main product), but also of toxic side products - hydroperoxides, carbonyl compounds (in the first place, malonicdialdehyde) and others.

When ozone in therapeutical dozes is administered parenterally, quantity of compounds which takes part in free radical lipids' oxidation increases, which is, to some extent compensated by activation of antioxidant system.

It is especially important in case of using vegetable oils as raw material. Many of natural impurities as well as side-products, which are formed during the process of preparation, not only make worse toxic properties of medicament, but factually decreases it stability. Earlier presented methods of of ozonated products separation from side-products ( Pat. FRG 3606735 ) are labour-consuming and do not provide good purification.

We have worked out technology of pure enough production of "ozonide" oil. Methods of decreasing of side products quantity were found out. The medicine is produced under optimum conditions and can be stored during two years at +5°C and in case of storage shows 85-90% activity in comparison with fresh prepared one.

"Ozonide" oil composition was optimized, taking into account the results of its testing for treatment of various skin and mucosa diseases; microbicidal and fungicidal activity was evaluated ( wide spectrum of microorganisms in vitro was examined ). Relationships between optimal therapeutic ozonides' concentration in oil and viscosity of the inert liquid basis of the medicine were studied.

"Ozonide "oils shows high activity and good compatibility with bio-tissues.

It is successfully used since 1993 in many clinics and hospitals of Russia for treatment of dermatological, gynecological, urological, stomatological, surgical diseases.
